"Investor's Group Thursday Night Concert Series"

Thursday, September 9th, 2010
Gage Park
Main St. S and Wellington St. W
Brampton, ON
Time: 7:00 p.m.

The City of Brampton Concert Band closes the 2010 Investor's Group Gage Park Thursday Night Concert Series on September 9, 2010, starting at 7:00 p.m. with a concert entitled "Commemoration". As is our long-standing tradition, our last Gage Park concert of the year features the Pipes and Drums of the Lorne Scots Regiment.

2010 signifies the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands, achieved principally by the 1st Canadian Army. It also marks the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Navy. As a tribute to the armed forces of our nation we will highlight a number of works to honour those who have served, and those who currently serve in our armed forces.

The Pipes and Drums appear under the kind permission of LCol. A.M. Phelps.

The Concert Band would like to thank the Investor's Group and the Brampton Downtown Development Corporation for their support in making the Thursday Night Concert Series possible. We are delighted to be a part of another successful summer concert series.

Look for forthcoming announcements as we launch our exciting 2010/2011 Rose Theatre Concert Series. You can always keep in touch with us through our Facebook Fanpage or by visiting us here on our website.

The Band would like to thank Her Worship Mayor Susan Fennell, Brampton City Council, The Corporation of The City of Brampton, The Flower City Kiwanis Club of Brampton, The Brampton Arts Council, The Brampton and Area Community Foundation and The Brampton Board of Trade.
